Santa Pola is located in the
south of Alicante Province, 17 km away from the capital city, with
an extension of 58,02 km2 surrounded by Elche, Alicante and Guardamar
del Segura.
The natural environment consists on three basic elements: The hills
of Santa Pola, the beaches and the lagoons, including the Natural
Park of the Salt-Lakes with an enormous ecological and faunal value.
Here is always springtime. Eleven km of beaches of fine sand and
pure waters awarded with the blue banner indicative of their quality.
The Tabarca island, is located just in front of the coast of Santa
Pola, and has been a Sea Nature Reserve since 1986 due to its transparent
waters, the rich sea bed and its amazing fauna and flora.
